Midnight Sun

Midnight Sun

Lands of the Midnight Sun and Vikings.

AnĀ archipelago off the North West coast of Northern Norway, the Lofotens are a spectacular string of islands linked together by bridges, tunnels and pavements. They form a much visited paradise for lovers of the great outdoors.

Stunningly beautiful, Nordkapp or North Cape towers 307 metres above the North Atlantic surf.

The Kingdom of Norway is a sovereign state in Scandinavia. It has borders with Sweden, Finland and, in the far North, Russia. A land of islands, fjords and mountains - when I think of Norway I envision the wild Vikings of yesteryear, the Northern Lights and Midnight Sun.

Sweden is a Kingdom in Northern Europe having borders with Norway and Finland. It is linked by a bridge and tunnel with Denmark. Renowned for its Viking past Sweden is today a cosmopolitan, peaceful country enjoying a mild climate and, while I was there, lots of sunshine.
